Homework Support (All Subjects, Grades 1 - 12)

The Homework Support option, as the name suggests, assists the student to understand challenging concepts presented in his or her assigned daily homework. It is a special program designed for students who need help with the acquisition of concepts, motivation and study skills. On a one-to-one basis, each qualified tutor assists the student with tests preparation, the completion of assignments/projects, and the improvement of organizational skills & study techniques.

At Oakville Preparatory Services, the tutoring session can also be used to solidify skills taught within the students' school program. Our teachers adhere to the Ontario Curriculum provided by the Ministry of Education and Training, and work collaboratively with parents, classroom teachers, and other professionals (e.g., speech-language pathologists, psychologists) involved with the student.

Students can receive homework support in one or more subject areas. A tutor is strategically assigned to a student by the directors with careful consideration of experience and knowledge of content.
