Tutoring for Elementary and High School Students

Oakville Preparatory Services (OPS) is an educational tutoring company that offers a wide variety of programs to best suit every child's academic needs. Students, from grades one through twelve, profit from the one-to-one tutoring by our professional tutors. Our students display notable improvement in both their academic skills and self-confidence!

In addition to working with gifted and ESL students, Oakville Preparatory Services provides tutoring to children who need extra help in academic subject areas or require intensive teaching for those who have been diagnosed with Learning Disability (LD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Pervasive Development Disorder (PDD), and/or Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). All of our children with whom our tutors have worked have greatly benefited from their academic expertise, structured learning environments, and enthusiasm for teaching.

Parents may choose from options offering homework support, individualized programs, or Direct Instruction. Each program will be designed to provide remedial, grade level, and/or enrichment assistance. In order to make the transition to high school easier for grade eight students, Oakville Preparatory Services offers a customized high school preparation option. We also teach practical and essential study skills & organizational techniques as required.

After parents choose the program and subject area(s) in which their child will be enrolled, an assessment to evaluate specific academic skills will be completed by the directors. Assessment results and parental input will assist with the design of every student's program. Programs are closely monitored to ensure optimal learning and student progress is regularly shared with parents via various communication tools (e.g., verbal and/or written feedback, agendas, progress report).
